Key Responsibilities of the RN - MedSurg/Tele

• Monitor and manage patients with acute or chronic diseases
• Administer cardiac drips, insulin drips, and utilize PCA pumps for pain control
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams and facilitate discharge planning
• Conduct thorough clinical assessments and deliver med-surg nursing care
• Perform IV insertion and central line management
• Conduct wound care, post-op monitoring, and telemetry interpretation
• Support patient education, focusing on renal and fluid management

Requirements of the RN - MedSurg/Tele

• BLS certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Tele RN experience
• BCR certification - must pass an EKG competency exam
• ACLS and national certification in medical-surgical or nephrology nursing preferred
