Role: Billing Manager (Legal) Compensation: $150,000–$165,000 Schedule: Hybrid (On-Site 2x a week – Mon/Wed) Location: Midtown – Atlanta Vaco is partnering with a national law firm, to hire a Billing Manager for their Atlanta (Midtown) headquarters. The Billing Manager will lead and manage the billing team (7-10 employees) while overseeing the full billing cycle. Drive accuracy, timeliness, compliance with client guidelines, and continuous process improvement. Serve as the firm’s primary escalation point for billing issues and collaborate closely with leadership on reporting, system optimization, and strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities: Supervise, train, and develop billing staff Oversee all billing operations, invoice production, and client instruction compliance Resolve billing issues and manage boutique billing structures, rejections, and portal requirements Maintain SOPs and lead ongoing education for the billing team Provide ad?hoc reporting to Managing Partner/CFO Manage Aderant month?end close Lead monthly billing meetings and weekly 1:1s Partner with CFO, Controller, Pricing, Client Accounts, and Client Information teams on process improvements Oversee eBilling administrator and timekeeping updates Project manage billing system upgrades Qualifications: Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required) 7 years billing leadership & management (overseeing a team of 7 employees) in professional services (law, consulting.) – required 10-15 years of general billing & systems experience Aderant experience (required) Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills Proficiency in Microsoft applications; detail?oriented and collaborative Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual’s skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs.
