We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer I to work with our Atlanta team where youll have the opportunity to grow your skills developing and deploying Full Stack applications in a microservices-based environment.

As a member of our team you will contribute to all aspects of the software development lifecycle including estimation design coding test automation code reviews deployment and support. Teams are responsible for specific services or products. Our solutions help airlines manage safe and high-performance flight operations.

The Full Stack position is focused on but not limited to the skills and tech stack for Software Development around:

Unit testing Functional testing

Primary Responsibilities:

Perform required engineering tasks in Full Stack Software: 85%

  • Actively support team with work on development tasks and support timely delivery
  • Follow and keep up code review standards
  • Participate in team initiatives to help achieve NAVBLUEs business goals
  • Communicate potential obstacles in squads plans and support contingency plans
  • Implement unit component and integration testing for new and existing code to ensure software quality
  • Coding testing documenting and debugging assigned development tasks to meet acceptance criteria
  • Contribute to the design of product features
  • Contribute to team productivity
  • Implement product features
  • Work within agile development concepts and participate in our SAFe process
  • Support adoption towards change and continual improvement
  • Works to find the root cause of problems
  • Supports the work of less experienced team members

Participate in technical discussions documentation needs research and innovation and sustainability topics: 15%

  • Respect and enforce the standards and structure of the given solution and the environment.
  • Develop design specifications and parameters that are in compliance with the products architectural blueprints
  • Participate in all phases of product development life cycle- analysis design test and integration and operation of products
  • Research evaluate and develop new tools to improve product development efficiency
  • Deploy test and/or integrates highly available scalable maintainable monitored systems and services
  • May assist in development of product user manuals
  • Coordinate the functional and technical integration of solutions
  • Help define the test strategy scripts scenarios and monitor test execution

Qualified Experience and Training:

Education:

Required

  • BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent professional experience

  • 2 years of working experience
  • Recent experience developing software with Vue or similar modern framework javascript or typescript
  • Experience with frontend and/or backend development
  • Experience writing unit tests component testing or integration testing
  • Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment

  • Ability to use technical communication skills
  • One or more of the following technology stacks:
    • javascript typescript
    • C# .Net
    • Selenium Python or similar

Organizational information:

Based out of Atlanta the Digital Solutions team is under the Customer Services line in Airbus Americas. This position is part of the Operations (Product Development) team and reports to the Head of Development. This team is fully dedicated to development for NAVBLUE an Airbus company.

Direct Reports : None (not a management position)

Nature of Contacts:

  • Involved communication on a frequent basis with internal and possibly external parties including Senior Leadership and team members across the organization as well as strategic partners

Physical Requirements:

  • Onsite or remote: Hybrid position with three days on site and two remote in a typical week
  • Vision: able to see and read computer screens and other electronic equipment with screens able to read documents reports and engineering drawings on a daily basis.
  • Hearing: able to hear to participate in conversations in person and via teleconference or phone and to hear sounds on production floor including safety warnings or alarms.
  • Speaking: able to speak in conversations and meetings deliver information and participate in communications.
  • Equipment Operation (personal computer telephone copies fax machine and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.
  • Carrying: able to carry documents tools drawings electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
  • Lifting: able to lift documents tools drawings electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
  • Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.
  • Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings working on a computer on a daily basis.
  • Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
  • Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor.
  • Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice up to 10%.
  • Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
  • Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes but is not limited to Safety Shoes Safety Glasses Hearing Protection Respirators/Masks and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site
  • Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visit appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
