A Day in This Role

You start your shift with a quick safety huddle, then rotate through stations on the line. You’ll use hand tools to fit, fasten, and verify components; flag anything that looks off; and work with your team to contain and correct recurring defects. Throughout the day, you’ll follow standardized work to hit safety, quality, and efficiency goals—finishing strong so the next shift is set up for success.

Shifts & Pay

• 2nd shift: 2:30pm–11:00pm — starting pay of $17.50/hr
• 3rd shift: 10:30pm–7:00am — starting pay of $17.00/hr

Grow Your Career

Your performance, attendance, and seniority can make you eligible to begin Kia’s direct hiring process. Once hired, pay increases to a starting rate of $20.52 with a top-out of $30.40.

What You’ll Do

• Support high-volume production on the assembly line to build vehicles and components.
• Use basic hand tools to complete manual assembly tasks accurately and safely.
• Partner with teammates to resolve quality issues, implementing repair and containment for recurring defects.
• Follow safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-reduction practices in every task.

What You Bring

• Comfort using common hand tools for 8+ hours per day.
• Ability to stand and move for 8+ hours per day.
• Drive to meet production and quality standards in a fast-paced setting.
• Reliable daily transportation to West Point, GA.
• Previous manufacturing or industrial experience is a plus, not a must—training provided.
