This role is for an experienced Energy Marshal with a strong background in electrical safety and Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures. You'll oversee energization and hazardous energy activities on major mission-critical construction projects, ensuring they are carried out safely, compliantly, and to the highest industry standards. This is a 100% travel role, offering a salary of up to $185,000, daily per diem, comprehensive benefits, and the opportunity to work on advanced data center projects across North America.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the site's Energy Marshal, overseeing all electrical energy isolation and LOTO activities throughout construction and commissioning.
- Develop, review and enforce Energy Isolation Plans (EIPs), switching procedures and project-specific energisation plans.
- Coordinate all planned energisation activities between contractors, commissioning teams, clients and site management.
- Ensure all Lock Out/Tag Out procedures are implemented correctly and safely before work commences.
- Verify permits, switching documentation and electrical safety paperwork prior to energisation.
- Conduct site inspections and audits to ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, NEC and client safety requirements.
- Support commissioning activities while ensuring safe energisation of electrical systems including switchgear, UPS systems, generators and critical infrastructure.
- Lead safety briefings, toolbox talks and provide technical guidance on hazardous energy control.
- Investigate electrical safety incidents, near misses and non-conformances, implementing corrective actions where required.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records relating to all energy isolation and energisation activities.
Skills/Must Have:
- Previous experience as an Energy Marshal, LOTO Coordinator, Electrical Safety Coordinator, Authorised Person (AP) or similar electrical safety role.
- Experience working on data centers, mission critical, industrial, utility or large-scale electrical construction projects.
- Strong understanding of Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and hazardous energy control.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E, OSHA regulations and the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Experience working around electrical distribution systems including switchgear, UPS, generators, transformers and critical power infrastructure.
- Ability to read electrical one-line diagrams and switching procedures.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work alongside multiple contractors and stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel extensively and stay away from home during the working week.
