Responsibilities
- Decorate and ice bakery items according to bakery standards with highest level of quality.
- Neatly write messages on cakes per customer's request.
- Decorate custom cake orders per customer's request.
- Ensure customer's orders are prepared according to schedule.
- Neatly slice cheesecakes & cakes according to bakery standards.
- Communicate with customers regarding special decorated items.
- Assist with preparing different kinds of icing, frosting, and cake fillings based on cake type.
- Ensure the display refrigerator is cleaned, polished, and fully stocked with cakes, pastries, and desserts.
- Maintain quality standards for cake slices and other desserts.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times.
- Assist with other duties as required.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of cake decorating experience working inside a bakery.
- Experience decorating custom cakes.
- The ability to use various cake decorating instruments and tools.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a production environment and meet time requirements.
- Ability to work a full shift.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and take direction from management and supervisors.
