Travel Registered Nurse Pre Op Job
- Key responsibilities: conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments; verify patient identity, surgical site, and consent; review medical history, current medications, allergies, and previous anesthesia experiences; perform risk stratification and vital sign evaluation; assess and document NPO status; coordinate with anesthesia teams to address concerns, anticipate potential complications, and ensure optimal patient optimization; prepare rooms and equipment with strict adherence to sterile technique; initiate patient education on perioperative processes, including what to expect before, during, and after anesthesia; document thoroughly in electronic health records; support safe patient transport and handoff to operating room staff; maintain patient comfort and privacy throughout the pre-operative phase.
