Travel Registered Nurse Pre Op Job

TLC Nursing
Cumming, GA
Seize an extraordinary opportunity as a Registered Nurse specializing in Pre-Operative Care, joining a traveling healthcare team that values precision, compassion, and patient education. Beginning December 22, 2025, you will embark on weeks-long assignments centered in Cumming, Georgia, delivering pre-operative assessment and care that set the stage for safe, seamless surgical experiences. Picture the trust you’ll earn in the moments before anesthesia—conducting thorough histories, confirming medications and allergies, verifying NPO status, and preparing patients with clear explanations and reassurance. In this role you’ll act as the calm, informed canvas that helps patients transition from anxious anticipation to confident readiness. Georgia’s beauty is easy to fall in love with—blue ridges above the mountains in the north, lush farmland, charming small towns, and thriving cities where culture thrives. Beyond the job, you’ll have the chance to explore this state and others as part of a nationwide network that champions travel, discovery, and professional growth.

Location benefits: Cumming sits within easy reach of the urban artistry and diverse dining found in the Atlanta metro area, offering the warmth of a smaller community alongside quick access to big-city amenities. You’ll enjoy a home base that supports work–life balance with outdoor recreation nearby and a low-stress environment ideal for focus at the bedside. For those drawn to broader experiences, there are opportunities to work in various locations across the United States, expanding your clinical exposure, building a diverse skill set, and widening your professional network. This blend of steady local assignment options with the adventure of travel can provide the best of both worlds: meaningful patient connections at home and the excitement of new clinical environments on the road.

Role specifics and benefits:
- Key responsibilities: conduct comprehensive pre-operative assessments; verify patient identity, surgical site, and consent; review medical history, current medications, allergies, and previous anesthesia experiences; perform risk stratification and vital sign evaluation; assess and document NPO status; coordinate with anesthesia teams to address concerns, anticipate potential complications, and ensure optimal patient optimization; prepare rooms and equipment with strict adherence to sterile technique; initiate patient education on perioperative processes, including what to expect before, during, and after anesthesia; document thoroughly in electronic health records; support safe patient transport and handoff to operating room staff; maintain patient comfort and privacy throughout the pre-operative phase.
- Professional growth: this setting provides hands-on opportunities to refine assessment skills, enhance critical thinking, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. You’ll have access to continuing education support, mentorship, and potential specialty certifications to deepen expertise in perioperative nursing.
- Competitive benefits: we recognize your expertise with an attractive weekly pay range of $2,047–$2,102, plus a sign-on bonus where applicable, housing assistance to reduce living costs during travel, and extension opportunities that let you lengthen the assignment if you choose. Your guaranteed hours of 36 per week help provide predictable income as you plan time off and personal commitments.
- Comprehensive support: travel nursing proficiency is powered by 24/7 support from the company. Whether you encounter housing logistics, credentialing questions, or clinical concerns, a dedicated team member is available at any hour to help you navigate challenges and maintain focus on patient care.

Company values: Our organization is built around empowering staff—placing career advancement within reach and fostering a supportive, collaborative work culture. We invest in your growth with clear pathways to leadership roles, ongoing skill development, and a community of colleagues who value your contributions. The mission is simple: you excel; you grow; you enjoy a work environment that respects your expertise and your well-being.

Call to action: If you’re a compassionate, skilled Pre-Op RN ready to impact patients during a pivotal moment in their care and eager to explore new places across the U.S., we want to hear from you. Apply now to join a company that values your professionalism, supports your journey, and helps you maximize both your clinical impact and your personal experiences.
