Water Sustainability Intern

Position Summary
J.M. Huber Corporation, an innovative manufacturing company, seeks a personable and highly motivated intern to support the Corporate Safety and Sustainability team with a strategic project related to Water Stewardship and Goal Setting. As part of the summer internship program, this intern will have the chance to work with experienced Sustainability and Operations professionals. If you’re looking for a summer filled with real-world work experience and hands-on learning, this is the internship for you!
The Internship will be from June to early August.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
- Benchmark corporate water stewardship goals and practices across industry peers.
- Review site‑level water‑use data and identify patterns in water intensity.
- Support assessments of water‑related risks using tools such as WRI Aqueduct.
- Research emerging concepts (e.g., water neutrality) and their relevance to Huber’s operations.
- Identify potential external partners, frameworks, or initiatives for future water stewardship efforts.
- Prepare concise summaries and recommendations to support development of long‑term water goals.
Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills
Education: Current undergraduate student or graduate student studying Environmental Science, Environmental, Chemical or Civil Engineering, Sustainability, or Natural Resources Management
Required skills/competencies:
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 and Zoom
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work in detail-oriented, dynamic and changing environment
