Cable Technician

Description

Summary: Support network infrastructure by performing Layer 1 cabling tasks at the main hospital and occasionally at clinics. Responsibilities include tracing, testing, and documenting network cabling. Use cable testers, cable toner, and NetAlly devices to verify connections and identify switch ports. Work alongside a Lead; entry-level candidates welcome.

Responsibilities:

Perform Layer 1 cabling work: run cable tests, trace cables, and use toner for identification

Use NetAlly (or similar) to locate switch ports and verify connectivity

Label and document cables and port mappings accurately

Support moves/adds/changes (MAC) and follow hospital safety protocols

Occasionally travel to clinics for cabling support

This is a Contract position based out of Atlanta, GA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
