General Manager
1. Leadership and Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the restaurant staff to deliver outstanding service.
- Recruit, train, and supervise employees, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
- Uphold the restaurant's high standards for service excellence.
- Interact with guests to ensure satisfaction and handle any guest concerns or complaints effectively.
- Maintain a welcoming atmosphere and ensure the restaurant is always impeccably clean and well-presented.
- Oversee day-to-day restaurant operations, ensuring seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures to optimize efficiency.
- Manage inventory, control costs, and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Monitor financial performance, analyze variances, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare budgets, track expenses, and maximize revenue opportunities.
- Collaborate with the finance department to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Work closely with the culinary team to develop innovative and appealing menu offerings.
- Ensure consistency and high quality in food and beverage preparation and presentation.
- Collaborate with the chef to create seasonal menus and special promotions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and licensing regulations.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with local and industry regulations.
- Conduct regular safety training sessions for staff members.
- Proven experience as a General Manager in a fine dining restaurant or upscale hospitality establishment.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Strong financial acumen and the ability to analyze financial data effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive, hands-on approach to management.
- Exceptional knowledge of fine dining etiquette, wine, and cuisine.
- Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related field (preferred).
