Position Description
The Emory University Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neonatology, in collaboration with Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta, is seeking a clinical neonatologist to join our faculty. The faculty member will contribute to the clinical, research, and teaching missions of the Division of Neonatology and Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta, with clinical coverage in the NICU and participation in education for students, residents, and fellows.
Qualified candidates must have an MD, MD/PhD, or equivalent and be board-certified/board-eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine. Salary and professional level will be commensurate with experience. Candidates should have a record of academic excellence and are expected to work collaboratively.
The Division of Neonatology is a large and diverse group with over 75 faculty, neonatal nurse practitioners, clinical fellows, and administrative staff. We are committed to providing outstanding clinical care at our three Emory-affiliated hospitals: Grady Memorial Hospital, Emory Midtown, and Arthur M. Blank Childrens Hospital. Our high-risk Developmental Progress Clinic serves outpatients from these facilities and other regional institutions. Annually, we manage more than 9,000 deliveries and over 1,500 admissions to our intensive care units, along with over 1,200 patients in our high-risk follow-up clinics.
Our clinical care is supported by our missions in education and research. We teach and mentor medical students, residents, neonatal fellows, and neonatal nurse practitioner students. Our research aims to discover new knowledge and translate findings into improved patient care.
Additional Information
Employment will be in the Emory + Childrens Pediatric Institute with a faculty appointment in Emory University School of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics. This institute is a partnership between Emory University and Childrens Healthcare of Atlanta, dedicated to advancing clinical care, research, and education in pediatrics.
