Salary and Benefits

• Salary range: $95,000 to $115,000
• Health Insurance: PPO plan through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Alabama (60/40 employer/employee split)

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all operational aspects of hospice services
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards
• Recruit, retain, and develop qualified hospice personnel
• Ensure high-quality patient care through effective interdisciplinary coordination
• Implement, monitor, and evaluate performance and quality improvement programs
• Oversee budget planning and financial management for operational stability
• Establish organizational goals and develop actionable plans to achieve them
• Manage conflict resolution and handle grievances professionally
• Foster effective communication between departments and leadership
• Stay current on hospice trends and ensure staff are clinically updated
• Supervise all admissions, transfers, and discharges
• Ensure services provided by external vendors are consistent and effective
• Report to the Governing Body and ensure accurate documentation and metrics

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s in nursing preferred
• 3–5 years of healthcare and/or hospice management experience
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing preferred
• Strong understanding of Medicare Hospice Certification
• Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
• Deep knowledge of hospice care and interdisciplinary service models
