Position Summary:

The Vice President of Construction is responsible for overseeing all construction projects, field operations, and process improvements to ensure efficiency, safety, and quality. This role manages resources, budgets, and personnel to meet project deadlines and financial objectives, aligning operational activities with the company's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Leadership and Strategy

• Embody and champion "The STAG Way," upholding our purpose, values, and commitment to excellence.
• Provide leadership, management, and accountability (LMA) for STAG’s operational processes and systems to ensure consistent project execution.
• Align operational strategies with the business plan to support company growth and client satisfaction.

2. Team and People Development:

• Lead and mentor a high-performing operations team, ensuring alignment with STAG’s People Process.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Support the professional growth of team members, cultivating leadership at all levels.

3. Client Relations & Business Development:

• Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and with the highest safety and quality standards.
• Maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and trust in STAG’s capabilities.
• Provide proactive communication and problem-solving to address challenges and deliver exceptional results.

4. Process and Systems Management:

• Act as the company’s Process Champion, ensuring operational systems and processes are optimized, innovative, and adhered to by the team.
• Drive the maintenance of technology solutions to ensure efficiency and productivity.
• Monitor and refine operational workflows, ensuring alignment with company goals and best practices.

Qualifications

Experience:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in the multifamily or commercial construction industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record in strategic operational planning and project management.
• B.S. in Construction Management preferred.

Skills:

• Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a track record of developing and managing high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
• Financial acumen and experience in budget management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, construction software systems, and technology.
• B.S. in Construction Management preferred.
• Experience with construction management software required.
