• Facility Type: Sole community hospital, Level 3 Trauma Center
• Emergency Department: 28 ER bays, 54,000 annual visits
• Shift Lengths: 8, 10, or 12 hours (flexible scheduling for emergency medicine jobs)
• Estimated Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $6,350 - $7,520
• Assignment Duration: 12-week locum tenens contract (potential for extension)
• Start Date: January 8, 2026
• Orientation: 1 day orientation, 1-2 days shadowing

Emergency Medicine Physician Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine (within 5 years of eligibility)
• Case logs required for credentialing
• New graduates welcome if Board Eligible
• Emergency Medicine experience preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced clinical environment

Emergency Medicine Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency medical care to diverse patient populations
• Collaborate with experienced ER support staff, including nurses and APPs for triage and clinical support
• Manage patients in a Level 3 Trauma Center
• Participate in admissions (ED admission rate: 15%)
• Document cases and maintain accurate medical records
• Engage in orientation and shadowing for a smooth transition into the emergency department
