Who Are We?
Summary:
- The OB/GYN Physician is responsible for providing comprehensive medical care related to women’s reproductive health, pregnancy, childbirth, and disorders of the reproductive system. This includes preventive care, diagnosis, treatment, and surgical intervention as needed. The OB/GYN Physician supports patients throughout prenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum care, while also managing gynecological conditions across the lifespan. This role promotes patient wellness, ensures high-quality clinical outcomes, and collaborates with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver exceptional patient-centered care.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- May supervise and provide clinical oversight to Nurse Practitioners (NPs), Physician Assistants (PAs), Registered Nurses (RNs), Medical Assistants, residents, and medical students.
- Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to clinical staff and trainees.
- Participate in performance evaluations and professional development of assigned staff, as applicable.
- Ensure adherence to clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat gynecological conditions, including infections, hormonal disorders, reproductive health concerns, and chronic conditions.
- Perform routine gynecological exams, including pelvic exams, Pap smears, breast exams, and screenings.
- Perform surgical procedures, which may include cesarean sections, hysterectomies, laparoscopic surgeries, and other gynecologic procedures, as credentialed.
- Monitor patient health, orders, and interpret diagnostic tests, and develop treatment plans.
- Counsel patients on reproductive health, contraception, family planning, menopause management, and preventative care.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with organizational, legal, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Respond to obstetric emergencies and provide appropriate interventions.
- Participate in on-call rotation schedules as required.
- Stay current with medical advancements, best practices, and continuing education requirements.
- Comply with all applicable healthcare laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
- Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
Education & Experience:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
- Valid and unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
- DEA license and controlled substance registration, as required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred.
- Prior clinical experience in obstetrics and gynecology preferred, but new graduates from accredited residency programs may be considered.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and sit for extended periods.
- Ability to perform surgical procedures requiring fine motor skills and manual dexterity.
- Ability to lift and move equipment or assist patients, up to approximately 25 pounds.
- Ability to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
- Visual acuity sufficient to perform examinations, procedures, and review medical records.
