The Dean's Office at Georgia State University College of Law currently seeks applicants for the position of Administrative Specialist (Temp) . Part of a shared administrative services team, this position will provide general administrative support for members of the College of Law Deans' Group, including the Dean, Associate Dean of Academic Affairs, Associate Dean for Student Success & Strategic Enrollment Management, the Assistant Dean for Administration and Finance, and related program directors.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Manages administrative functions and business matters including office management, correspondence management, meeting, and appointment scheduling.
- Supports the coordination of travel arrangements and reimbursements, invoice payments, and maintenance of web content.
- Responsible for maintenance of general office policies and procedures.
- Serves as liaison to various University and external divisions.
- Provides administrative support for visiting and part-time/adjunct faculty activities.
- Coordinates webpage information regarding academic support develops and updates part-time instructor and adjunct training materials, coordinates materials for training and orientation of visiting, part-time, and adjunct faculty.
- Provides administrative assistance for deans-level issues related to admissions, scheduling, bar verifications, student conduct, Honor Code violations.
- Coordinates student disability service matters.
- Provides administrative support regarding the student dismissal and appeals process, including material preparation, coordination of meeting schedules, correspondence management, and maintenance of appropriate records.
- Provides administrative support for College of Law non-academic programs and activities.
- Advises students of general policies and procedures related to student events and student services.
- Support unit special projects.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and two years administrative experience; or high school diploma or GED and six years administrative experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Preferred Requirements:
- Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge/experience using calendaring software to schedule meetings.
- Ability to act independently and exercise initiative to plan and complete assignments; recognize errors and solve problems to improve short- and long-term goals.
- Experience with handling confidential information and using discretion with sensitive information and situations.
