Systems Engineer (Mid-Level | Tier 2–4)

Atlanta, GA | Contract to Hire | Hybrid Support & Engineering Role

We’re hiring a Systems Engineer on a W2 basis to join our IT team, bridging Help Desk and Infrastructure operations with a focus on End User Experience , Desktop Engineering , and Cloud Integration .

What You’ll Do

• Serve as Tier 2–4 escalation for desktop and end-user issues
• Lead enterprise desktop deployments and image/package management
• Modernize desktop engineering (SCCM to Intune migration)
• Design and manage Windows environments and cloud solutions (Azure, AWS, GCP, M365)
• Implement security controls, GPOs, and endpoint protection (Defender, EDR)
• Collaborate across infrastructure, security, and support teams
• Maintain system documentation, performance reports, and ITSM records
• Ensure compliance with standards like SOX, NERC, FERC, and more

What You Bring

• 3–7 years of experience in systems engineering or desktop infrastructure
• Proficiency with Intune, SCCM, Azure AD, Group Policy, and cloud platforms
• Strong scripting/automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, etc.)
• Familiarity with ITIL practices and compliance frameworks
• Excellent communication and documentation skills

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
