Scope of Position:
A ZOe Pediatrics Director of ZOe Med-Tech oversees the certificate program that trains aspiring Certified Medical Assistants and Phlebotomists. As a medical assistant program director, your job duties include collaborating with faculty to develop curriculum, assessing the instructional needs of students and adjusting the program as necessary, creating class schedules, and hiring and training staff and faculty. You will also be responsible for recruiting students to the program and maintaining accreditation.
Education/Experience:
- Nurse Practitioner
- Registered Nurse
- A Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences or a related area is required.
Three years (6,000 hours) of verified experience in a clinic is required. One year (2,000 hours) must be within the past five years.

The Director will be responsible for the following:
· Maintain up to date on program accreditation requirements and
changes.
· Provide recommendations to ensure the achievement of the
program’s goals and outcomes.
· Collect and maintain accurate data and submit the Annual Report
form by the required deadline.
· Provide support and resources to instructors in providing students
with the educational competencies for the Medical Assistant exam.
· Establish and maintain cooperative and professional relationships
with supervisors, staff, and students, always.
· Organize, maintain records, and meet deadlines.
· Make routine arithmetic calculations with speed and accuracy.
· Operate a computer and other office equipment.
· Understand and follow oral and written directions.
· Maintain confidentiality.
· Maintain punctuality with minimal absenteeism.
· Always present a professional appearance.
Key Responsibilities:
· The Director of ZOe Med-Tech oversees the certificate program that
trains aspiring Certified Medical Assistants and Phlebotomists.
· The Director will recruit, hire, and train appropriate faculty members for
Zoe Med-Tech.
· The Director will recruit and then facilitate the education and training of
Med-Tech students. This training and education will include but not be
limited to:
a. Clinical duties - maintain equipment, assist provider with
examinations and treatments, documentation and filing of
medical records, sterilizing equipment, perform EKGs, obtain
vital signs, dosage calculation, administer medications as
ordered, and instruct/educate patients.
b. Laboratory duties – inventory lab supplies, collect specimens,
and perform select laboratory tests and record results.
· The Director will maintain all requirements to ensure accreditation on an
annual basis.
· The Director will work with the Controller to maintain the requisite line
of credit required by the State of GA accrediting body.
· Frequent mobility, standing and/or sitting for extended period of time
· Frequent bending and stooping required
· Requires occasional lifting to 50 lbs. of boxes of paper.
· Requires the frequent handling of materials
· Occasional weight-bearing may exceed 50 lbs.
