Location: New York, NY (10029)

Duration: 13 Weeks

Start Date: January 26, 2026

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Hours: 40 hours/week (8 hours/day)

Pay Rate: $50 – $55 per hour

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist for a 13-week contract assignment in New York, NY. The therapist will be responsible for delivering prescribed radiation treatments safely and accurately while providing high-quality patient care in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer therapeutic radiation treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist

• Verify treatment prescriptions for accuracy, dosage, and technical integrity

• Prepare treatment rooms, equipment, and patient immobilization devices

• Perform patient setup, localization, and verification using radiographic or electronic imaging

• Take, interpret, and submit port/beam images for physician review and approval

• Maintain accurate daily treatment documentation and record/verify systems

• Perform chart checks and report discrepancies promptly

• Conduct daily quality assurance and safety checks per regulatory guidelines

• Monitor patient condition during treatment and report any adverse reactions

• Maintain continuous visual and auditory communication with patients during treatment

• Explain procedures clearly to patients and provide reassurance as needed

• Identify and report equipment malfunctions to appropriate clinical and physics staff

• Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked treatment area

• Assist with student instruction, evaluations, chart rounds, and scheduling as required

• Participate in chart rounds, in-services, and training sessions

• Demonstrate professional conduct and patient-centered care at all times

• Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience in therapeutic radiation therapy

• Hands-on experience with Varian TrueBeam technology

• Proficiency using MOSAIQ EMR

• Ability to perform basic dose calculations using computer software

• Strong knowledge of radiation safety, QA procedures, and treatment equipment

Education & Certification

• Graduate of an AMA-approved Radiation Therapy program
