Machinist

TRC Talent Solutions is looking for Machinist for our client in Newnan, GA

Summary: This individual must be capable of stepping into the role with minimal training and immediately contributing to production operations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience operating and programming Mazak CNC equipment, interpreting technical drawings, and producing quality machined components while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Department: Manufacturing / Machining Operations

Hours:

• Training Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (first 2 weeks)

• Shift: Friday–Sunday | 5:00 PM – 3:30 AM

• 3-month contract assignment

Pay Range: $30.00+/hr. based on experience

• Set up, operate, and program Mazak CNC machines.

• Produce precision machined parts according to engineering specifications and blueprints.

• Edit and optimize CNC programs to improve quality and efficiency.

• Perform machine setup, tooling changes, and adjustments as needed.

• Conduct inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure product quality.

• Troubleshoot machining and programming issues.

• Maintain production schedules and meet established deadlines.

• Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures.

• Document production activities and report any equipment or quality concerns.

What We’re Looking For

Candidates should have experience operating and programming Mazak equipment, including:

• Mazak SVC 2000/200 Milling Machines

• Mazak I-800 Milling Machines

• Mazak 350 MSY Lathes

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of CNC machining and Mazak programming experience.

• Strong understanding of G-code, machine setup, and tooling.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.

• Experience with precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational machining training preferred.
