Doggie Daycare Attendant

We are seeking a Doggie Daycare Attendant to join our team at Haven, the Dog Spot! You'll be responsible for the overall care, safety, and well-being of the dogs in our facility, working in a group play environment.

What You'll Do

• Supervise group play with 40+ dogs at a time
• Watch for signs of stress, overstimulation, or conflict
• Evaluate and manage dog temperaments and body language in real time
• Feed dogs accurately according to individual instructions/schedules
• Clean and sanitize play areas, kennels, and common spaces throughout the day
• Communicate clearly with teammates and front desk about any incidents, behavior changes, or client notes

Requirements

• Experienced working with dogs, including handling groups of 10+ at once
• Proactive, takes initiative without needing constant direction
• Comfortable evaluating and responding to dog temperament and body language
• Highly detail-oriented, especially with feeding, medications, and cleaning protocols
• Flexible schedule availability, including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
• Reliable transportation
• At least 18 years of age
• Able to stand, walk, kneel, and be on your feet for extended periods
• Able to lift/move at least 40 lbs (bags of food, equipment, occasionally a dog)
• Comfortable working around barking, noise, and high-energy environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in animal care, veterinary, grooming, or related fields
• Genuine passion for animal welfare and enrichment
• Calm, non-threatening presence with animals
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, physically active environment
