Senior Java Developer

What does a successful Senior Java Developer do at Fiserv? You will play a critical role in building world-class analytic tools for our merchant base, focusing on transaction data to provide insights into customer behavior that drives key business decisions. Our data and analytics organization empowers merchants with innovative technology solutions to grow their businesses. As part of the Digital Disbursements Platform team, you will have the opportunity to design, develop, and deliver robust technology solutions that leverage the breadth of transactions processed daily within the Global Business Services organization. With a focus on cloud-based microservice architecture, our platform technology stack utilizes a horizontal scaling infrastructure to ensure timely responses for merchants, even as we grow. What you will do:

• Design and maintain large-scale, high-frequency, low-latency applications.
• Deliver high-quality code on or ahead of schedule to meet customer commitments.
• Stay up to date with technological advancements to ensure the product technology stack is optimized for strategic growth.
• Collaborate with team members in a strong product-focused environment.
• Adhere to Agile Sprints, Delivery Frameworks, and SDLC best practices.
• Work closely with the product management team to understand requirements and provide estimates, high-level designs, and detailed designs for product and customer enhancements.

What you will need to have:

• 5+ years of experience with Java, RESTful APIs, Messaging Technologies (Kafka, MQ, JMS), and Maven.
• 5+ years of experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot, Microservice Architecture.
• 5+ years of experience with JDBC, JSON, and XML.
• 3+ years of experience with cloud-based technologies such as AWS, IaC, Snowflake.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, or military experience.

What would be great to have:

• Knowledge of messaging infrastructure architectures, serialization mechanisms, and implementation of asynchronous event-driven software systems.
• In-depth knowledge of messaging protocols, request/response lifecycle interception, and data transformation techniques.
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools, including Maven and Jenkins.
• Experience in automated testing methodologies, utilizing mock frameworks, virtualized services, and performance benchmarking tools.
• Proficiency in developing unit tests with frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.

Salary Range

$87,200.00 - $155,700.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in New Jersey, New York and California. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ.
