This is an opportunity to join a well-respected, busy surgical practice and apply your skill sets of scheduling colonoscopy procedures to assist in making the practice productive. The successful candidate will be customer service-driven with a proven record of organization and quality of work. I am looking for an experienced Surgical Scheduler who will schedule colonoscopy procedures for a busy 4-surgeon office. This requires a lot of patient contact to coordinate procedures, counsel patients on how to prepare for the surgery, schedule with the hospital, electronically send patient instructions, and then obtain prior authorizations from the insurance companies. The ideal candidate will have above-average emotional intelligence, a strong work ethic, and critical thinking skills. The candidate will be able to develop solid professional relationships with scheduling staff at the hospital, patients, and providers. The position also requires the ability to work independently as well as being able to operate in a team environment. Experience with EPIC EMR is a requirement as well as previous experience talking with patients and scheduling surgeries.
