About the Position
The RN will provide care in a hospital-based Hematology-Oncology Med-Surg unit , treating patients with cancer and complex blood disorders , including a high population of sickle cell patients .
- Oncology patients (various cancers)
- Hematology conditions
- Heavy sickle cell population (pain crises, complications)
- Step-down level patients (moderate acuity)
Requirements
Required:
- Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg / Oncology experience in a hospital setting
- Active RN Licensure (Compact or GA)
- BLS Certifications
Preferred:
- Chemotherapy certification (chemo cert) –
- Experience with:
- Oncology care
- Med-Surg hospital patients
- Step-down acuity
