Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized or small group academic, behavioral, and social support under the guidance of teachers
• Assist students with daily routines, transitions, and active participation in classroom activities
• Implement behavior support plans while adhering to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Support mobility, supervision, and personal care needs as necessary
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment conducive to growth

Qualifications:

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Alabama
• Minimum age requirement of 18 years
• Compliance with TB testing according to district guidelines
• Physical capability to stand, walk, and assist with lifting when required
• Current background clearances or willingness to obtain prior to assignment start

Preferred Experience:

• Background in school nursing, special education, behavioral health, or child care environments
• Experience supporting students with special needs, autism spectrum disorders, or behavioral challenges
• Certifications or experience in CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute), PMT (Preventive Management Training), or RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) are advantageous
• Reliable, patient, and able to work collaboratively as part of a team
