Seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven Operations Manager to lead our Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) operations. This role is responsible for managing daily transportation services that safely and reliably connect clients to critical healthcare appointments. The ideal candidate is experienced in logistics and/or healthcare transportation, has strong leadership skills, and is passionate about improving access to care for vulnerable populations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day NEMT operations, ensuring timely and safe transport of clients to medical appointments.

• Manage driver schedules, vehicle assignments, and trip routing using dispatch and NEMT scheduling software.

• Supervise and support a team of drivers, dispatchers, and customer service personnel.

• Monitor on-time performance, ride efficiency, and customer satisfaction KPIs; develop plans for service improvements.

• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, Medicaid/Medicare requirements, and contractual obligations.

• Oversee fleet maintenance and readiness, ensuring all vehicles are safe, clean, and ADA-compliant.

• Collaborate with healthcare providers, brokers, and facilities to ensure client needs and expectations are met.

• Recruit, onboard, and train staff on company protocols, defensive driving, HIPAA, and patient sensitivity.

• Investigate incidents, resolve service issues, and implement corrective actions as needed.

• Prepare operational reports, manage budgets, and identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Healthcare Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• 3–5 years of experience in transportation operations, preferably in healthcare or NEMT services.

• Knowledge of Medicaid transportation guidelines, HIPAA, ADA compliance, and NEMT industry standards.

• Experience with transportation scheduling software such as Routematch, TripSpark, or similar platforms.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and customer-focused mindset.

• Ability to work flexible hours and respond to operational emergencies as needed.
