iCode Alpharetta is a forward-thinking after-school learning center located in Alpharetta, GA, specializing in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) and coding education for students in grades K–12. Position Overview – Instructor (Part-Time)

As an Instructor at iCode Alpharetta, you will play a vital role in inspiring young learners and nurturing their interest in technology and STEAM disciplines. You’ll be responsible for delivering dynamic lessons, guiding students through iCode’s Belt Program, and ensuring a positive and enriching classroom experience.

This role is ideal for individuals with strong computer science fundamentals, a passion for teaching, and the ability to motivate and engage students of all ages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging, hands-on lessons in accordance with iCode’s curriculum and teaching standards.
  • Foster a structured, safe, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Monitor student progress and provide personalized feedback.
  • Communicate regularly with parents about student performance and program activities.
  • Promote respect, inclusivity, and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Maintain and manage classroom equipment and software.
  • Collaborate with peers and center leadership to enhance student experience and curriculum delivery.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as HTML, JavaScript, Alice, and Python.
  • Experience with platforms such as Lua, MCreator, GameMaker, Unity, Unreal Engine is an added advantage
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and familiarity with MSI laptops and operating systems.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage and engage K–12 students in a classroom setting.
  • High school diploma required; a BS in Computer Science or a related field is preferred.
  • Exceptional high school students with leadership experience in STEAM programs are encouraged to apply.
  • Alumni of the iCode program will receive preference.

Job Details

Job Type : Part-time
Pay : $10.00 – $12.00 per hour
Expected Hours : 4 – 20 hours per week
