JOB TITLE: Order Processing Specialist (Customer Service Representative)
EMPLOYER: GATC, LP
REPORTS TO: Customer Service Manager
EFFECTIVE DATE:
Preference is for local candidates as no relocation is associated with this role.
THIS IS NOT A 100% REMOTE POSITION!!! Hybrid work schedule - two to three days in office, two to three days remote work. Will be expected to be in the office daily until training is completed.
SUMMARY: Executes order processing for multiple companies in an efficient, effective and timely manner; strives to retain present customers and develop new business by extending professional and efficient service and suggesting additional services and products to serve customers’ needs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Take orders for various customer accounts via email, EDI, fax or phone and enter into ERP system (Sage 100)
- Provides timely resolution of customer complaints, concerns, and inquiries.
- Communicates order confirmations, stock availability, and expected delivery dates.
- Reconciles order entry with customer PO part, pricing, and quantity.
- Prepares reports and correspondence as needed to support remote sales offices and personnel.
- Processes customer returns and credits in compliance with client terms and conditions.
- Teams up with the warehouse by printing and receiving pick sheets.
- Collaborates with Logistics and Warehouse for insights on stock replenishment and shipping costs.
- Cross-trains as back up support for additional accounts (clients).
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Two to three years related data entry and/ or account management experience or equivalent.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English (primary language used in the workplace); Bilingual (German) a strong plus; not required.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
- Ability to resolve complex issues with minimum supervision.
- Commitment to excellence and high standards.
- Strong organizational skills; ability to manage priorities and workflow.
- High aptitude for arithmetic, including converting units of measure and hours to decimals.
- Coordinate activities with other departments, take corrective actions, and escalate issues to appropriate individuals.
- Effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
