Chief Operating Officer (COO) – Music Evolved Records
Location: Remote / Flexible
Start Date: Early November
Travel Requirement: Must be able to travel 50% of the time
About Us:
Music Evolved Records is a fast-growing, innovative music label empowering artists, producing top-tier music, and building strong brands. We are seeking a results-driven COO to lead operations, optimize processes, and scale revenue and efficiency.
Role Overview:
This is a small retainer, high-revenue-based role with a starting retainer of $1,000/month , growing with company milestones. The COO will oversee all operational functions, ensure team alignment, and work closely with leadership to drive measurable results.
Compensation:
- Monthly Retainer: $1,000 to start (paid bi-weekly), scaling up to $5,000/month as revenue milestones are achieved.
- Revenue-Based Commission: Starts at 2.5% of company revenue , scaling to 4% as revenue growth targets are hit. Paid monthly on the first Friday for the previous month.
- Quarterly Bonus: $2,500 , based on operational efficiency and collaboration with CSO, Event Director, Client/Operations Managers, and other operational leaders. Paid on the first Friday of the month following the quarter.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily operations and streamline processes across the company.
- Develop and implement strategies to maximize revenue and efficiency.
- Collaborate with the CSO on growth initiatives and revenue strategy.
- Partner with Event Directors, Client/Operations Managers, and other operational leaders to execute events, manage clients, and optimize internal systems.
- Build and manage high-performing teams.
- Travel as needed (~50% of the time) for events, meetings, and business development.
Requirements:
- Proven operational leadership experience, preferably in music, entertainment, or creative industries.
- Track record of driving revenue growth and operational efficiency.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
- Comfortable in a results-oriented, entrepreneurial environment.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Must be able to travel frequently (50% of the time).
