Compensation: $110,000$150,000+ per year (commission and project-based) About the Role
Hoods Unlimited is seeking an experienced Commercial Kitchen Exhaust Hood Installer to lead and perform full-system installations for commercial kitchens. This is a high-impact position ideal for someone who knows this trade inside and out from fabrication to installation to permitting and wants to earn top-tier income based on results. We already have a strong pipeline of installation work and handle fire suppression installations in-house. What we need now is a skilled expert who can confidently oversee and execute full kitchen exhaust system projects, including hoods, ducts, fans, electrical, welding, and permitting. $110,000$150,000+ per year (commission and project-based pay)
Paid as a percentage of every project sold and successfully completed on time and within budget
Unlimited earning potential for top performers Responsibilities
Install complete commercial kitchen exhaust systems, including hoods, fans, ductwork, and electrical components
Perform light fabrication and welding as needed
Manage installation projects from start to finish, ensuring code compliance and high-quality workmanship
Coordinate with internal teams and subcontractors on scheduling and materials
Handle permitting, inspections, and communication with local authorities
Troubleshoot installation issues and provide technical expertise in the field
Ensure all work meets NFPA 96 and local fire and building code standards
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site
Represent Hoods Unlimited professionally on every project Qualifications
Minimum 35 years of hands-on experience installing commercial kitchen exhaust systems
Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and ventilation components
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and job specifications
Experience handling project permitting and inspections
Proficiency in welding, sheet metal fabrication, and equipment mounting
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work safely at heights or on rooftops
Self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented
Leadership experience or ability to oversee small crews preferred What We Offer
