Route Driver - Record Storage

JOB SUMMARY

The purpose of this Job Description is to establish and define the authority, accountability, reporting relationships, responsibilities, duties, and measures of performance of a Driver. The basic function of a Driver is to ensure the proper loading and unloading of tucks during pick up and delivery, the accurate and productive loading and unloading of trucks, the security of the truck and its contents, adherence to safety policies, provide excellent customer service and maintain a safe driving record.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure that his/her routes and returns have been properly loaded and unloaded.
• Ensure that items have been accurately reconciled upon receipt.
• Ensure that all outgoing work orders properly inspected and recorded on the proper forms or electronically through scanners.
• All required work orders are completed, signed and returned to office personnel in a timely manner in accordance with the daily dispatch schedule.
• Meets all driver qualifications, training requirements and maintains a safe driving record.
• Assists with warehouse related duties when complete with delivery or pickup routes.
• Data Storage drivers completing destruction routes must ensure that he/she has the correct destruction bin, adheres to schedule, is on time, is professional, completes required paperwork, and drives safely and courteously. Must be flexible to changes in schedules.
• The Driver is the Crew Leader / Supervisor when at the customer site and is responsible to ensure that all tasks are completed in a secure and professional manner. The Driver is responsible for safety of the vehicle and any potential crew members.
• In case of accident or injury follows proper procedures.
• Maintains a positive attitude and works well with the customer, delivery crews and members of management.
• Ensures and improves customer satisfaction by being a professional and courteous representative of the Company.

EDUCATION

Required: High School diploma.

LICENSING/REGISTRATION/CERTIFICATION

Required: Valid Driver’s License.

Required: Over 21 Years Old

EXPERIENCE

Preferred: Two (2) to Five (5) years or more driving experience in the document storage and/or home delivery industry.

BODY POSITIONS: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, operate forklifts and scissor lifts and load/unload trucks for prolonged periods of time.

BODY MOVEMENTS: The employee must have a full range of body movements including use of hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, computer equipment and peripherals; and bending, reaching, and crouching.

BODY SENSES: Must have command of all five senses: sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Vision requirements in each area must be sufficient to shift in focus from computer screens to printed documents.

STRENGTH: Must have the ability to lift seventy five (75) pounds with regularity
