Tax Director

Position: The firm is looking for a dynamic Tax Director to join our Tax team in Atlanta. This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the most respected public accounting firms in the country. Our industry niches include manufacturing/distribution, real estate, construction, technology, transportation, private equity, financial services, staffing and professional service firms.

Responsibilities:

• Review and approve complex tax returns and audits
• Ensure compliance with federal and state tax laws
• Lead tax research and planning initiatives
• Serve as a technical resource for staff and clients
• Supervise and mentor tax team members
• Collaborate with audit teams on large client engagements

Requirements:

• CPA license required
• 8+ years in public accounting with increasing responsibility
• Experience representing clients before tax authorities
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in tax software (e.g., CCH ProSystem fx) preferred
• Bachelor’s in Accounting (Master’s in Taxation preferred)
