We're a small but ambitious company that's looking to add one experienced Garage Door Technician to help us take our commercial overhead door and equipment installation business and expand it into the residential market. We're also looking to grow our commercial side of the business and need professionals that want to succeed!

About the Role: We're looking for someone with the technical expertise and leadership mindset to launch our residential services division. The ideal candidate is someone who's close to hanging up their tools and wants to grow into a key management role. You will help us build the right business processes, ensure that we have the right supply base and to make contributions wherever they may be needed. You'll lead day-to-day operations for residential service and installation projects, while helping locate, train and hire the right technicians and ensuring part inventory levels are managed and optimized.

From time to time, you might get the opportunity to travel out of town to support larger commercial/industrial installation projects. As the residential side of our business grows, travel will drop significantly.

What Youll Do:

Lead and perform complex commercial installations and repairs
Manage residential service and installation operations
Interview, train, and supervise technicians on job sites
Assist with scheduling and project management
Work with current and future vendors to manage parts inventory
Investigate new products and services and implement
Enforce proper safety + customer service standards
Perform quality checks and final inspections

Requirements:

MUST HAVE 5+ years overhead door industry experience
Proven leadership experience in the field
Must be able to pass background checks as we work on government/military facilities
Clean background + drug-free
Authorized to work in the United States

Desired but not required:

OSHA 10, OSHA 30
Mobile equipment cert (forklift, telehandler, other)
Rigging
IDEA certification in rolling steel, rolling steel fire, commercial sectional, residential sectional, gates/operators
