Hours: 40 Hours/M-F, 7:30a-4p

We are supporting a client in recruiting an Office Assistant in Acworth, Georgia. The successful candidate will provide vital administrative and logistical support, including managing shipping documentation, coordinating shipments, and maintaining office operations. This role offers a contract-to-hire opportunity with onsite work and competitive hourly pay. Qualified candidates with experience in SAP and strong organizational skills are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

• Verify and process customer orders in SAP
• Prepare and maintain shipping records and documentation
• Schedule and arrange shipments with carriers (FTL & LTL)
• Manage material flow, receipts, and inventory transactions
• Support returns, transfers, and special projects
• Promote and follow all safety requirements
• Assist with general office administrative duties
• Interact with customer service, possibly calling customers to provide shipment information
• Communicate effectively via email and phone calls
• Perform miscellaneous office tasks as needed

• Familiarity with SAP required; experience with a new SAP system is preferred
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• 2+ years clerical experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment
• Experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Commitment to accuracy, safety, and customer service
• General computer proficiency and office work skills
