Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed respiratory therapies, aerosol therapies, chest physiotherapy, and airway clearance techniques as ordered.
- Manage and monitor patients receiving ventilatory support, including ventilator setup, adjustments, and routine troubleshooting in collaboration with the care team.
- Perform respiratory care assessments, monitor patient response, and document interventions in the electronic medical record.
- Collect and analyze data such as pulse oximetry, ABG samples when indicated, and report significant changes to the interdisciplinary team.
- Support weaning and liberation from ventilators when appropriate, and participate in rounds to contribute to care planning.
- Maintain equipment safety, infection control standards, and a clean, stocked work area; communicate equipment needs and safety concerns to the team.

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience within the respiratory care specialty
- Certification: NBRC – RRT credential; AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS
- Ability to work in a fast-paced inpatient acute-care environment with a nights-based schedule
- Demonstrated competency in ventilator management, humidification, aerosol therapy, and airway clearance techniques
- Effective documentation skills and the ability to collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists
