Position Overview We are looking for an IT Helpdesk Intern who is eager to learn and gain hands-on experience in a professional IT environment. This role is designed as a mentorship opportunity for a recent graduate or student who is just beginning their IT career and wants exposure to real-world systems, support workflows, and security concepts.
No prior helpdesk or enterprise IT experience is required. We are looking for someone who is curious, dependable, and motivated to learn . Training, guidance, and support will be provided.
What You’ll Do Learn & Support Day-to-Day IT Operations
- Assist with Tier 1 helpdesk support under the guidance of senior IT staff
- Help respond to basic user requests and issues
- Learn how IT tickets are logged, documented, and resolved
- Ensure requests are directed to the appropriate team when needed
- Help prepare laptops and equipment for new employees
- Assist with basic account setup and access requests (with supervision)
- Learn how onboarding and offboarding processes work in a corporate IT environment
- Shadow members of the IT team to learn:
- How support issues are diagnosed and resolved
- How systems are managed behind the scenes
- How security-related issues and alerts are handled
- Ask questions, take notes, and build foundational IT skills
- Gradually take on more responsibility as skills develop
- Learn foundational IT security concepts and best practices
- Gain exposure to security-related work for those interested in that path
- Recent graduate or student pursuing a degree or coursework in:
- Information Technology
- Cybersecurity
- Computer Science
- Or a related field
- Strong interest in technology and learning how things work
- Reliable, organized, and willing to ask questions
- Comfortable communicating with others and asking for help when unsure
- Positive attitude and desire to grow
- Demonstrates a strong task-oriented approach and efficiently manages a wide range of daily responsibilities.
- Prior helpdesk experience
- Knowledge of ticketing systems
- Advanced technical skills
- Enterprise IT or security experience
- Hands-on experience in a professional IT environment
- Mentorship from experienced IT professionals
