Provide skilled nursing care in medical-surgical and telemetry units within a Level 1 Trauma designated teaching hospital. This role requires a Registered Nurse with a strong background in Med-Surg and Telemetry, adaptable to a fast-paced environment with diverse patient populations. Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in Med-Surg and Telemetry units.
• Manage patients with common diagnoses, including those requiring cardiac monitoring and interventions.
• Perform trach care, chest tube management, PIV starts, and glucose monitoring.
• Administer and titrate cardiac drips such as insulin and heparin drips, maintaining proficiency in all related protocols.
• Collaborate with CNAs, unit secretaries, charge nurses, and specialty teams to ensure patient safety and quality care.
• Float across Med-Surg/Tele units as needed to meet staffing demands.
• Complete orientation and educational modules to maintain compliance with hospital standards.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current RN license with 2+ years of Med-Surg/Telemetry nursing experience.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Successful completion of an EKG competency exam during onboarding.
• Certification in Med-Surg nursing is a plus.
• Experience with cardiac drips, trach care, chest tubes, and intravenous therapies.
• Ability to work effectively in a busy, team-oriented environment.

• Work within a 637-bed Level 1 Trauma hospital equipped with EPIC EMR, Alariso IV pumps, and Phillip monitors.
• Nurse-to-patient ratios typically range from 1:4 to 1:6.
