Senior Accountant POST NUMBER: 152020

A rapidly growing private equity backed professional services platform is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its expanding accounting and finance team. This is a unique opportunity for a public accounting professional looking to gain hands-on experience in M&A, transaction accounting, and strategic finance while working directly with executive leadership.

Unlike a traditional Senior Accountant role, you'll have direct exposure to acquisitions, due diligence, purchase accounting, and integration activities, while also owning key accounting and financial reporting responsibilities. The position offers significant visibility across multiple operating companies and direct interaction with the CFO.

Responsibilities:

• Lead month-end close activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial reporting for assigned entities.
• Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and support management reporting.
• Support acquisition due diligence, financial analysis, and transaction accounting activities.
• Assist with purchase accounting, opening balance sheets, integration efforts, and post-acquisition financial reporting.
• Prepare financial models, deal support schedules, and other analyses for leadership and strategic decision-making.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 3 years of public accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Exposure to acquisition accounting, purchase accounting, or M&A related projects is highly desirable.
• CPA or CPA track required.
• NetSuite experience is a plus.
