The Opportunity:

The Class A Commercial Driver position involves driving a company tractor and trailer to deliver products to our customers. Driverroutes will typically be 4-10 stops per route, will require the driver to unload via lift gate with pallet jack, and transport/place palletized products inside the customers' location. Drivers will be expected to use ELD and log all activity and follow all state and federal regulations. Routes are generally <150 miles round trip but could be longer including interstate depending on DC location.

$29/hr

M-F 5:00am to 3:00pm. or 6:00am. to 4:00pm; however, start and end times may vary based on route assignments and customer needs.

This role also includes participation in a rotational on-call schedule for weekends, as well as occasional overnight assignments (approximately one to two times every five weeks).

How you will impact Smurfit Westrock :

• Safely operates tractor and trailer for the delivery of products and materials.
• Perform vehicle inspections as required.
• Operate mobile apps on the phone for ELD and proof of delivery.
• Provide outstanding customer service during delivery.
• Follow all safety rules for equipment and material handling as required by DOT, OSHA and Company safety program.
• Ensure all orders are delivered in good condition and in full as per the bill of lading.
• Communicate effectively with operations staff about customer concerns.
• Utilize material handling equipment, such hand trucks.

What you need to succeed:

• Current CDL Class A license
• No preventable motor vehicle violations within the last 12 months
• Current medical certification card.
• One or more years' experience driving a tractor trailer.
• Automatic and Manual up to 18 speed experience
• General fluency in English required, verbal and written
• Basic computer literacy preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic computer literacy preferred
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Offload Driver Assist 80/20
• Electric Pallet Jack and very large lift gate
• Customer Facing
