QC Lab Technician Chemical Manufacturing

Chemical Manufacturing experience preferred!

**Summary: **

Quality Control Lab Technicians are responsible for maintaining quality assurance, consistency, conformity, and general fitness of use of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities **

include the following; however, other duties may be assigned:

• This role will be responsible for closing and tracking work orders, printing, delivering, or applying labels to containers to prep for early AM shipments to customers and inter-site.

• Support for (AM or PM) QC lab operations including record keeping, filing and basic quality testing.

• Operate lab equipment.

• Maintain laboratory hygiene and safety

• Work with Commercial Team and Customer Service to send out requested product samples (SC)

**Essential Qualifications and Skills: **

To successfully perform this job, an individual must be able to perform each key responsibility in a satisfactory manner through individual effort or effective and appropriate collaboration. Additionally, the well-qualified candidate will have the following education and experience:

• High school diploma or higher education and some advanced education preferred but, not required in lieu of experience in lab or medical setting and or a combination of education and training.

• Display excellent interpersonal and communication/team skills

• At least one year in a quality oriented or data entry position (packaging, laboratory testing, logistics, customer service, medical) preferred.

• Knowledge of quality assurance principles and practices

• Be able to perform basic mathematical calculations

• Strong observation skills and willingness to consult with others to resolve issues in a timely manner

• Ability to deal positively with changing priorities

• Proficient with computer applications

• Always represent the company in a professional and courteous manner

**Other: **

This position has no direct reports. The hours for this role are from 4:00pm to 12:00am Monday through Friday. The first 1-2 months the position would train on first shift, 8:00am to 4:00pm Monday through Friday.

**Work Environment: **

Work is typically performed in an inside, temperature-controlled environment. Works and travels throughout plant environment of varied temperatures and humidity, and wears personal protective equipment, as required.
