Job Title: RN - PCU Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years in the requested specialty License: Required RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, CPI (CPI training will be provided if not currently certified) Must-Have: PCU skills, arrhythmia monitoring, knowledge of cardiac titratable drips Description: The position requires a Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit. The facility has 361 licensed beds and a Level 2 trauma designation. It operates as a teaching hospital with a residency program. The patient types include general ED population for trauma, stroke, and cardiac events. Medical-surgical floors handle a variety of patients, including those with infections, cancer, and surgical needs. The critical care areas consist of stepdown units and specialized observation units. Responsibilities include monitoring patients and managing cardiac titratable drips. Support staff will be available, including nurse techs, respiratory therapists, and security. All nursing staff are expected to work collaboratively and assist each other. The schedule includes weekend rotations and holiday expectations.
