Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care across preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases for surgical patients.
- Maintain sterile technique and aseptic practices; ensure patient safety and adherence to evidence-based perioperative protocols.
- Monitor patient status, document assessments and intraoperative events, and respond promptly to clinical changes.
- Educate patients and families about procedures, anticipated recovery, and discharge expectations.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and the broader interdisciplinary team; participate in governance and quality initiatives that support service excellence.
- Uphold professional standards in line with the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and the American Nurses Association Code of Ethics.

Requirements
- Active RN license (Georgia) or current RN license with eligibility to practice in the state; in good standing with the scope of practice.
- Perioperative/OR nursing experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary hospital environment and follow strict safety and documentation standards.
- Must be available for a travel assignment and able to work 4x10-hour shifts (days).
- Strong communication and patient advocacy skills; commitment to evidence-based practice.
