We have two campuses for our Elementary program, and they are in proximity to each other.

As an Elementary Teacher at Peachtree Academy, you will:
- Create an engaging classroom culture with clear routines, procedures, and expectations that maximize learning.
- Plan and teach lessons that balance instruction, discussion, exploration, hands-on learning, and independent work.
- Instruct students one-on-one, in small groups, and in whole-class settings using a variety of effective teaching methods.
- Build strong foundational skills in literacy and numeracy while encouraging curiosity, perseverance, and problem-solving.
- Adapt instructional strategies and materials to meet students' different learning needs and interests.
- Read aloud to students and provide rich learning experiences through books, storytelling, games, crafts, music, and discovery.
- Observe and assess student academic progress, behavior, social development, and overall growth.
- Prepare, administer, and grade assignments, classwork, homework, and assessments.
- Maintain accurate student records and prepare reports as required by school policies and administration.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress, needs, and goals.
- Support students with academic, behavioral, or adjustment needs through intervention, encouragement, and individualized guidance.
- Prepare and implement remediation or enrichment opportunities as needed.
- Organize classroom materials, display student work, and maintain a learning space that is both joyful and purposeful.
- Use technology, audio-visual tools, and instructional resources to enhance teaching and learning.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, counselors, and support staff to plan lessons and support student success.
- Supervise assistants, volunteers, and classroom helpers when needed.
- Participate in staff meetings, committees, professional development, school events, and other assigned responsibilities.
- Help lead field trips, class projects, guest speaker visits, and experiential learning opportunities.
- Support school-wide duties and contribute to the life of the school community.
✅ Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field
✅ Experience teaching in an accredited school preferred
✅ Ability to effectively teach foundational literacy and numeracy
✅ Experience with small-group instruction and differentiated learning
✅ Strong classroom management and communication skills
✅ Passion for teaching children in a Christ-centered environment
CertificationGeorgia Teaching Certification preferred
Out-of-state certified teachers are welcome to apply
Recent graduates who completed student teaching or field experience are encouraged to apply

About Peachtree Prep, our Early Childhood Division
The early childhood division of the school bases its academic program on a weekly unit of study for academic advancement. Teachers use lesson plans to guide the delivery of information and address individual issues of advanced skill levels or areas of improvement that are needed. Parents may supplement the curriculum by bringing in books, materials, or ideas related to the theme for the benefit of the class.
