Mechatronics Technician
The warehouse of the future contains high-density, high-precision racking with automated pallet shuttles (like our atlas 1D ) instead of wide aisles that forklifts need to pass through.
Our customers benefit from much better utilization of their warehouses (up to 70% more pallet storage than traditional rack!), maximized vertical space, improved accuracy in pallet selection, and minimized labor costs and product damage.
Over the span of more than 40 years, we’ve grown into a company with 10 manufacturing facilities, 19 commercial offices, and the know-how of around 2000 employees serving customers in 40 countries.
Early 2021, we opened our US Office and have already grown to around 50 people. It’s exciting times to be at stow!

Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Mechatronics Technician with expertise in millwright work, welding, hydraulics, electrical systems, and fabrication. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a hands-on environment, tackling complex mechanical challenges to ensure the optimal performance of our industrial equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- System Integration & Troubleshooting: Diagnose, repair, and optimize integrated mechanical, electrical, and software systems, including PLCs, robotics, sensors, and vision systems.
- Preventive Maintenance: Develop and execute maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Automation Support: Assist in the installation, calibration, and commissioning of automated systems and robotic cells.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, system modifications, and performance metrics.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and production teams to implement system improvements and resolve technical issues.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree or higher in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Robotics, or a related field preferred but not required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a hands-on technical role involving automation systems, robotics, or industrial machinery.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens), electrical schematics, mechanical systems, and industrial control systems.
- Certifications: Certifications such as Certified Mechatronics Technician (CMRT) or similar are highly desirable.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, effective communication, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
