**What You'll Do:**
+ Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the government location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities.
+ Monitor entrances, exits, and/or designated areas to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain a visible presence.
+ Communicate clearly and professionally with visitors, employees, and/or emergency personnel as needed.
+ Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities as required by Allied Universal and site protocols.
+ Follow all instructions regarding the handling and use of firearms in accordance with legal requirements and company policies.
**Minimum Requirements:**
+ Have at least 3 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
+ Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
+ A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
