Position: Part-time Professional Laboratory Assistant for EMT/AEMT

Location: Athens Campus

Department: Division of Life Sciences & Public Safety

Reports to: Divisional Academic Dean

Salary/Benefits: Salary is commensurate with education and experience. No State of Georgia benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Assist faculty members with classroom instruction, exams, record keeping, adherence to safety procedures, tracking attendance, and other miscellaneous tasks related to instruction.
• Tutor or mentor students.
• Clean labs as needed.
• Obtain materials needed for classes, including texts and other materials.

Minimum Qualifications: Current licensure as an AEMT, Paramedic, RN, PA, or M.D./D.O. in the State of Georgia with at least one (1) year experience in advanced life support pre-hospital or emergency care.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Current Instructor certification in BLS.
• Current certifications in PHTLS and EMS Instructor or Instructor/Coordinator AEMT or Paramedic.
