Senior Packaging Engineer

The Senior Packaging Engineer is responsible for evaluating and implementing packaging solutions across internal and 3rd party food and beverage production sites. The role focuses on assessing packaging feasibility within existing equipment and identifying modifications required to support new or adjusted packaging formats. The position closely partners with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Quality teams to ensure packaging lines run safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards.
Experience in process engineering is considered an advantage, particularly for projects related to line performance or scale-up.

Your Responsibilities:
• Evaluate packaging feasibility within current production capabilities and define required line adjustments or upgrades.
• Lead and document packaging validation and qualification activities (DQ, IQ, OQ, PQ).
• Coordinate packaging format changes for existing or new products at internal and 3rd party sites.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to ensure packaging lines perform safely, efficiently, and consistently.
• Support Quality in verifying packaging compliance with product and customer requirements.
• Participate in CAPEX and line upgrade projects, defining packaging equipment needs and supporting installation, commissioning, and qualification.
• Drive continuous improvement in packaging line performance, efficiency, and reliability.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for packaging issues and define corrective or preventive actions.
• (Optional/Plus) Support process-related projects, especially those impacting packaging line performance or scale-up feasibility.

Your Profile:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, Master’s degree preferred
• 5+ years’ experience in food & beverage manufacturing
• Less than 25% travel
