Basic Job Functions: Nucor Warehouse Systems- GA is looking for welders for our Frame department. An ideal candidate will focus on safety, be a team player, and find ways to be improve efficiency and safety.
- Setup gas-shield MiG-welder and weld parts to job specifications
- Use hand tools, clamps, and grinders to perform job tasks
- Complete basic maintenance on welding equipment
- Able to read, interpret, and understand blueprints, drawings, specifications, weld symbols, tolerances
- Clamp, hold, tack-weld, heat-bend, and bolt parts and components as necessary to satisfy technical requirements and create final welded and/or assembled product
- Examine finished products and spare parts and compare them with drawings and quality control documents to determine if specifications and tolerances are met
- Meeting daily production goals
- Follow company safety practices and procedures.
- Ability to pass a welding test
- Willingness to work any shift for 8 to 10 hours
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, lean, bend, and squat for an 8 to 10-hour shift
- Attention to detail
- Basic math skills
- 1-2 years of welding experience.
