TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Albany, Georgia, 31701!
Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Observation Unit (Medical Surgical) Duration: 17 weeks Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Common titratable and/or set-rate drips experience Description: Strict 75-mile radius rule applies. The unit has 22 beds. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:5 or 1:6. Charge nurse staffing is required. Charge nurse may occasionally take an assignment. Certified Nursing Assistants are present on the unit based on availability. This unit does not have ventilators. It is a heavily monitored unit with central monitoring. Registered Nurses read telemetry strips. Self-scheduling is not allowed. Weekend requirements include every other weekend. Holiday requirements rotate with permanent staff. There is no call or standby requirement. Floating to medical-surgical units is required. Scrub color/dress code includes Caribbean Blue top and bottom, or white top and Caribbean Blue bottom, or all white top/bottom. The unit experiences a fast-paced environment with high turnover. Discharges and admissions up to 16 per day are expected. Registered Nurses perform their own EKGs and draw their own labs. The charting system used is MEDITECH. BSN degree is not required.
