A Day in the Life — Mobile Lift Truck Service Technician

Your day starts with a route on your company-issued tablet. You stock your service vehicle, tap into ServiceMax (or a similar work order system), and head to a customer site. First stop: an electric lift truck throwing an intermittent fault. You pull up the electrical schematics, break out the multimeter, track down a relay issue, and get the truck back online. Next, you perform a scheduled PM on an LP forklift—filters, oil change, safety inspection—then close out documentation and review recommendations with the customer. One more site, a hydraulic leak on a diesel unit, then it’s time to tidy your van, update inventory, and plan tomorrow’s calls.

You’ll work independently, travel locally, and be the essential problem-solver our customers count on.

What You’ll Tackle

• Diagnose and repair powered industrial trucks and material handling equipment (gas, diesel, LP, and electric)
• Execute preventative maintenance and comprehensive safety inspections
• Document findings, parts used, and labor in a computerized work order system; communicate clearly with customers
• Maintain a well-organized service vehicle, tools, and parts inventory
• Represent LiftOne with professionalism and a customer-first mindset

What You Bring

• 2+ years in material handling or related fields (automotive, diesel, military, or heavy equipment)
• Hands-on skill in mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting
• Comfort working independently in the field with strong time management
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Experience with ServiceMax or similar CMMS/work order platforms preferred
• Safety-first approach—protecting yourself, your teammates, and customer assets
• Positive, service-oriented communication style
